The first spring-like system for this year will move into the region late Wednesday night. This system will bring 5 to 10 mm of rain for most areas, with 10 to 20 mm expected around the Highway 403 corridor and the Kitchener area. Strong winds are also expected, with wind gusts of up to 100 km/h along the Highway 410 corridor.

The gusty winds will begin across the region around 10 PM on Wednesday, when wind gusts of 80 to 90 km/h are expected across most of the region. There is a smaller area from St. Thomas to Simcoe and further north to Kitchener where wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h are expected.
The winds will increase across the region by 1 AM Thursday, with a widespread area of 80 to 90 km/h wind gusts are expected. There is a small area near Highway 410 where wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are possible.
By 4 AM Thursday, the winds will become a little lighter across the region, where most of the region will see wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h. The area around Highway 410 can continue to expect wind gusts from 90 to 100 km/h.
As of 7 AM Thursday, the winds will stabilize slightly, where most of the region can still expect wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h and a small area around Highway 410 will likely see wind gusts of 80 to 90 km/h.
By 10 AM Thursday, the winds will pickup again across the region with wind gusts of 80 to 90 km/h expected. The winds will slowly become lighter throughout the day.
